I’ve never been able to quieten my mind, but this book has helped me do just that! It’s packed with wisdom, time efficient techniques and rich experience that really will make a difference to your day and your life. Fantastic read that will benefit absolutely anyone who picks up the book. No matter how busy their brain is!
When it comes to mental health, I suspect that all quick-fixes are bogus so am usually a sceptic of the self-help genre. Owen O’Kane’s book is a proud exception. Ten to Zen is clearly a work written by a serious clinician. It is not about providing some sort of perfect path to inner peace, rather it is an honest, eloquent, no-nonsense set of easy-to-use strategies for anybody seeking to find a way of improving their mental and emotional well being. I thoroughly recommended it.
A highly competent, knowledgeable mental health professional with a substantial range of expertise that sets him apart in his field. He delivers with passion, enthusiasm and energy.
"Michael has a unique, results-driven approach to unlocking the leader inside of you. He respectfully challenges paradigms that exist inside everyone that inhibit performance and helps you to not only identify them but manage them into strengths."
"Michael combined real-life experiences with practical lessons in a dynamic 3 hour presentation. We are all searching for joy and happiness and Michael made us focus on the choices we make and the impact on our business and personal lives. Highly recommended."
“I had the honour of watching Stef in the Olympic stadium in 2012. Her story had everyone on the edge of their seats, laughing out loud and in the next moment reaching for their tissues. Stef is a true champion who is not only an inspiration on the track but also on the stage. She brought the house down and I’d pay to watch time after time. A joy to work with and an honour to know her.”
“Listening to Paralympian and model Stef Reid describing how she had successfully adapted to becoming disabled was inspirational. Stef eloquently articulated the problems of striving to conform to the narrow stereotype of ‘normal’ and encouraged the audience to challenge the current paradigm. She emphasised the need to celebrate difference rather than view it as a reason for exclusion.”
“Stef has worked with us on numerous occasions, bringing a magic and passion to our internal and external audiences alike. Most recently she delivered a powerful keynote speech at the Future Leaders event, which brought together many of BP’s highest potential individuals from around the world. Stef possesses an extraordinary ability to engage every person in the room, sharing her perspectives in a way that is at once engaging, energizing and thought-provoking. Stef has a natural speaking talent and an ability to make us all think again about what is possible in life.”
Every now and then I come across a speaker who really makes me sit up and listen.
Winston is one of those rare speakers.
Always smiling and laughing, Winston has a great way of putting his audiences at ease and engaging with them, as he tells his stories. He is incredibly generous, sharing original and inventive advice with his audiences, showing them how to be more resilient and grateful for what they have.
Every time I hear Winston speak I learn something new from him. It is always a pleasure being in the audience when Winston takes to the stage.
Winston is a force of nature. His cheeky personality transcends any other initial impression you may be tempted to form. I have seen him speak a couple of times and have been really impressed by the way he focuses on delivering value to his audience.
He moves around more than you might expect and addresses, quickly, those obvious questions that audiences have when they first meet him.
He's a delightful character and has strong messages to share regarding how to break free from your limitations, and creating a culture of grit and resilience in organisations.
Winston really makes you think. Why do we accept what we don't need to accept as our place in life. Why do we blame others when we can accept the situation and take "Extreme Ownership" and work out how to turn the challenges we face to our advantage. Key messages for everyone in life and especially in business conveyed with passion and personality.
Thank you Winston from all of us – the presentation was everything I hoped for…you are an inspiration; lots for us all to reflect upon.
