Channel 5 news presenter Matt Barbet has hosted an array of news shows and topical events programmes such as Breakfast, BBC London News (BBC 1), The Cycle Show (ITV 4), The Wright Stuff, The 5 O’clock Show (Channel 5) and News Hour (Daybreak).

Matt has a wealth of television experience both in the studio and on location having reported from Afghanistan, Haiti and Ethiopia. He has also fronted live events such as Channel 5’s coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and hosted live from the Oscars on two separate occasions.

He is also a familiar voice on the radio as the newsreader on BBC Radio 1 for the Sara Cox’s Breakfast Show. He also presents Weekend Breakfast (BBC Radio 5 Live) and The Briefing on the online radio station Monocle 24.
