Dr Nighat

Arif

Dr Nighat is a family GP specialising in women’s health and family planning.  She is based in Buckinghamshire and is able to consult fluently with patients in Urdu and Punjabi which brings a great deal of trust from her community.  

Nighat is a medical educator and provides teaching to local trainee GPs as well as at National conferences.  She works as an outreach clinician, meeting with doctors, nurses, community teams and residents to discuss the unmet health needs for Pakistani communities who are less likely to engage with health professionals.

Dr Nighat has three children of her own and is currently an independent local GP working privately and for the NHS. 

She has worked for the NHS for 10 years and privately for 3 years so has a wealth of experience.

More About Dr Nighat

In the past she has worked as lead clinician for residents at the Fremantle Dementia Residential home where she cared for 60 patients with acute medical problems putting together long-term care plans in addition to a daily surgery for thousands of patients from varied backgrounds.  She has also worked for Oxford Mental Health NHS trust in general adult psychiatry and psychiatry of the elderly.
