Caryn

Franklin MBE

For 6 years, Caryn Franklin was the fashion editor of i-D Magazine. She still regularly contributes to i-D online and has recently collaborated with them to create a new section entitled Cool Psychology.

With her passion for image and fashion, Caryn’s projects have seen her collaborate with a variety of the most unlikely people in the industry to produce some of the most inventive fashion statements.

She has gained inspiration from refugees in battle zones, workers in free-trade-zone slums, mental health experts, MP's, Government Ministers and of course some of the world’s leading fashion innovators.

Caryn has interviewed some of the most iconic names in fashion, from Yves Saint Laurent to Georgio Armani.  She presented televised tributes at the V&A for ITV, featuring Vivienne Westwood and Philip Treacy.

She has also written and produced fashion programmes for BBC 1, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery, Granada and UKTV Style. She was also the director and host of The Clothes Show for the BBC, which she fronted from 1986-1998.  ...
