Anthea Turner on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins 2020

21st May 2020

Anthea Turner is one of the celebrities on this season’s Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins 2020.

Unbelievably, Anthea Turner is the oldest person to ever take part in Channel 4’s latest series Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. She’s celebrating her 60th birthday as the show is screened.

The TV host is back on our TV screens in the celebrity edition of SAS: Who Dares Wins. The well known show plunges contests into the harsh world of SAS recruitment, testing their mettle in a series of hostile environments.

Jumping out of a helicopter over the freezing North Sea is a daunting proposition for anyone, though Ant Middleton did admit to providing a push in the back!

Anthea explains: “I’ve had this thing for quite a few years now that every year I try and do something that’s out of my comfort zone because as we get older, we become safer. We go, ‘Oh no, I’m not going to do that’, we know too much, as you grow old, you see danger.

“There’s that optimism that comes with youth, we have this feeling of invincibility. People go on about ageing and it’s all about what you eat and your creams, lotions and potions, but one of the most important things about not ageing is actually being interested in what’s going on in the world.

“I hope I’ve flown the flag for those of us who are late 50s, early 60s. I’m going, ‘Go on. Have a go, you can do it!’”

The show is just a part of an incredible career from Blue Peter to Top of the pops. You can find out more about the corporate work Anthea Turner does on her main bio page HERE.

Given her wide-ranging experience she is comfortable in front of a camera or live audience.
